Clo-Clo

With the third production, the Lehár Festival presents in semi-staged form a work by Franz Lehár, an honorary citizen of Bad Ischl, which has never before been performed at the festival. The audience is not only enchanted by wonderful waltz music, because Franz Lehár also surprises with modern jazz melodies in this work.

Clo-Clo Mustache is a famous vaudeville singer. Among her many admirers is also the mayor, to whom she affectionately says "Papa". One day, Clo-Clo asks him in writing for financial help, but the letter with the expression "Mon chére Papa" reaches his wife, which causes a lot of turbulence for the mayor and his supposed daughter.

The German classical label cpo will release a recording of the production on CD. CLO-CLO by Franz Lehár - a rarity not to be missed.

The THEATRE HALL offers an unusual and elegant setting with professional infrastructure for conventions, presentations, galas and cultural performances.
Here, what appears to be impossible is made possible. The technical equipment of the hall knows no boundaries, but opens up new perspectives for each event. Depending on the way in which the seats are arranged, it can accomodate up to 900 guests.
The available light and sound techniques meet the highest demands. The stage with its sinkable orchestra pit keeps all possibilities open and offers a flexible use of the room. Loading lines are kept short via the back-stage. The hall itself is representatively and stylishly decorated. Steps in the second half of the hall guarantee an open view to the stage.
